Free Domain
Claim a free subdomain for your Sharkord server.
Sharkord runs a free subdomain service on shrkrd.site, so you can host a server with HTTPS without buying a domain. Handy for testing and for small communities.
Claim One
Go to domains.sharkord.com, register, and claim your subdomain. Each account gets up to 3, so you can keep separate ones for testing, friends, and a real server.
Your subdomain looks like yourname.shrkrd.site. Pick myserver and your instance lives at myserver.shrkrd.site.
Point It at Your Server
When you claim a subdomain, set it to your Sharkord server's public IP address. DNS propagation usually takes a few minutes.
Once it resolves, follow one of the HTTPS guides to get a certificate for it. Let's Encrypt issues certificates for shrkrd.site subdomains like any other domain.
Rules
- Subdomains are for hosting Sharkord servers. Pointing one at another service gets you banned from the service.
- Subdomains used for abuse, spam, or anything against the terms of service are suspended or removed without notice.
- Subdomains inactive for more than 2 days will be reclaimed and made available to someone else.
- We reserve the right to suspend or remove any subdomain at our discretion.
