Sharkord
Introduction

Gain Owner Permissions

Use the access token to claim the owner role.

The access token printed on first launch is what turns a normal account into the server owner.

Claim Ownership

  1. Log in to your Sharkord server with the account you want to make owner.
  2. Open the browser dev tools (Ctrl + Shift + I, or right-click and choose Inspect).
  3. Go to the Console tab.
  4. Run useToken("your_token_here") with your token.

The account gets the owner role immediately, no reload needed. Running it again on an account that already owns the server fails with "You already have the owner role."

Treat the token as a master key

Anyone who has the token can claim ownership of your server, from any account, at any time. It is not single use and it currently cannot be rotated or revoked, so store it like a root password and never paste it into a shared channel or a screenshot.

If It Fails

  • "Invalid access token": the token does not match. It is the value printed on the very first launch of the server, not the server password and not your login token.
  • Nothing happens / useToken is not defined: you are not connected to a server yet. Log in first, then run the command.
  • Rate limited: the endpoint allows 5 attempts per minute per user. Wait a minute and try again.

Lost the Token?

There is no recovery path. If you still have owner access, hand out the roles you need from the server settings. If you do not, the only way back is a fresh data directory, which means starting the server from scratch.
